As some of you may know, I tutor statistics. However, it has gotten a lot harder to tutor students because my time is limited. Additionally, I’ll be graduating soon, and I probably won’t have time to tutor students at all. So, I made a short book (about 130 pages) that provides relevant examples, memes, drawings (courtesy of moi), and straightforward descriptions of several concepts relevant to statistics and research methods.
It’s quite funny, if I do say so, myself.
Here are some snapshots from the book:
Oh! And it’s hella gay. And I put an explicit advisory warning on the front because I say fuck a few times and other fun curse words. But if you’re not into that, I also included a “clean” version.
I saved the best to be discovered in the book.
The chapters:
Research Methods
Basics of Statistics
The Normal Curve
The Normal Curve 2.0 (and t-tests)
Regression
ANOVA
What Test Do I Run?
Effect Size
Preregistration
APA Style (and yes! Tables!)
I may update the book if I find errors in it, or if I add more content to it. Feel free to suggest content you’d like to see in the book! I’m thinking about adding an intro to Bayes chapter (spooky). But if I do update the book, I’ll add the different versions of the book to this post.
If you like the book, feel free to share without permission. However, please do not alter without permission.
Happy calculating!
